Accounts Receivable Specialist - Robert Half

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, United States. The successful candidate will be in charge of managing customer accounts, processing payments, and dealing with inquiries related to accounts receivable.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer payments and apply them to the respective accounts
• Regularly update customer accounts with new data such as contact or address changes
• Prepare and post multiple daily deposits to maintain financial records
• Address customer inquiries on their accounts promptly and professionally
• Work closely with the Credit/Collections department to manage new customer accounts and handle payment issues
• Notify customers about their new account status after opening new accounts
• Distribute monthly account statements via mail, fax, and email to customers
• Collaborate with other members of the accounting department to provide clerical assistance
• Handle sensitive and confidential information with utmost discretion
• Assist in answering incoming phone calls and directing them to the appropriate department if necessaryShrewsbury
• Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist, with at least 1 year in a similar role.
• Proficient in account reconciliation and accounts receivable processes.
• Demonstrated experience in billing and cash applications.
• Strong skills in cash collections and commercial collections.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
• Familiarity with AWS CDK would be an asset.
• Experience in Business-to-business (B2B) transactions is required.
