HR Generalist

We are in search of an HR Generalist to join our team in the non-profit sector based in San Francisco, California. In this role, you'll be instrumental in handling HR-related compliance, managing a range of documents, and providing administrative support to the HR department.

• Oversee the management of HR data and documents, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Actively participate in HR team activities, contributing to the achievement of organizational objectives.
• Demonstrate strong HR compliance expertise to identify and rectify any discrepancies.
• Provide support with an ongoing cloud initiative, including the management of a significant backlog of paperwork.
• Conduct necessary follow-up actions such as reaching out to staff for required information including training certificates and test results.
• Carry out various HR administrative duties as assigned. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar HR Generalist role, preferably within the Non-Profit sector
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively manage internal and external relationships
• Proven experience in regulatory compliance, ensuring all HR policies and procedures adhere to local, state, and federal laws
• Familiarity with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and its application in employee relations
• Demonstrated experience in managing the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth integration into the organization
• Proficiency in California Labor Law, with the ability to apply this knowledge in day-to-day HR operations
• A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficient in using HRIS and other HR related software
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity, with the ability to work with diverse groups of people.
