Robert Half is seeking a highly organized Office Assistant to join our client's team on a contract basis. This position is essential to ensuring the smooth operation of the office and will primarily serve as the first point of contact for visitors and clients.

In essence, this role functions as a receptionist, with additional administrative duties to support day-to-day office activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome visitors, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Answer and direct phone calls in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Accept and log incoming packages, ensuring timely communication with recipients.
  • Manage office supplies, including tracking inventory, ordering, and restocking as needed.
  • Regularly check and maintain office equipment such as copiers to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Handle outgoing packages, including preparing, labeling, and shipping documents or items. Track and manage shipments to ensure successful deliveries.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support the office team.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in customer service or receptionist roles is strongly preferred.
  • Punctual, reliable, and ability to thrive in a workplace environment that values a courteous demeanor.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in basic office technology, including phone systems, copiers, and computer programs such as Microsoft Office.
