Here's what you'd do:-Organizing and managing patients' health information data.-Ensuring all medical records are accurate, complete, and up to date.-Using classification systems to categorize patient data for records archiving purposes.-Preparing paper records for long-term storage with the ability to retrieve the documents.-Maintaining confidentiality of patient records as per legal and ethical requirements.-Understand Chain-of-Custody shipping processes for medical records.-Assisted healthcare professionals in accessing patient files and records.-Using software to maintain digital records and perform database management.-Responding to requests for patient information from authorized individuals.-Processing stored X-ray film and other types of records.-Secure patient information and maintain patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records and keeping patient information confidential.-Schedule physical exams by deciding with patients and preparing charts, pre-admission, and consent forms.-Establish and follow standards and procedures and comply with legal regulations to maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.-Enhance practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.-Maintain team member confidence and protect operations by keeping patient care information confidential.-Perform a variety of tasks.-Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the job functions.-Work under the immediate supervision of a supervisor or manager.
