Travel Insured International, a Crum & Forster company, is hiring an Operations Intern.

Travel Insured International is a leading travel insurance provider with more than 30 years in business. As a key component of our Specialty Business Unit, within the Accident & Health division, TII provides travel protection plans to help each individual travel confidently.

The Operations Intern role will report to the AVP, Claims and will be responsible for supporting and assisting our Claims and Customer Care departments. In this role, you will assist with daily tasks in support of our team that delivers superior customer service and support to our internal and external customers.

You will also have the opportunity to assist with projects and initiatives and gain exposure to the Insurance Industry.

Job Description:

What you will do:

  • Perform research and provide project assistance in support of Claims and Customer Service initiatives and projects
  • Assist with updating internal procedures, workflows, job aides or other documentation
  • Assist with gathering data or following up on data requests, in support of operational reporting and data analytics deliverables
  • Assist with phone calls, first notices and other operational tasks for the Claims and/or Customer Care department to service and support customers and travel advisors as needed per business needs to meet SLAs
  • Participate on a cross functional intern project
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with excellent attention to detail

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word) and intermediate level of Microsoft Excel is required

Salary ranges are available for all positions at this location, taking into account roles with a comparable level of responsibility and impact in the relevant labor market and these salary ranges are regularly reviewed and adjusted in accordance with prevailing market conditions.
The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area ranges from a minimum of $15/hr. to a maximum of $25/hr. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role.

To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
