Overview:
The Associate Director, Managed Access Programs (MAP) will be responsible to drive the implementation and management of Global MAPs including Post-Trial Access, Compassionate Use, and Named Patient Program. The Associate Director, MAP will be a key role within the MAP Center of Excellence driving end-to-end operational execution of MAP strategies and programs.

This role will work collaboratively with a broad cross-functional team to ensure an integrated, compliant, strategic approach to program implementation and execution. The Associate Director, MAP will also support MAP governance, functional strategy, and product strategy creation.

Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence: Provide functional expertise on managed access programs (post-trial access, named patient, and compassionate use) from a global perspective. Deliver outstanding service to all HCPs and patients across the managed access programs that Insmed provides. Responsible to implement and manage end-to-end operational activities across assigned MAP programs including but not limited to program start-up and maintenance across countries, support HCP site management, MAP request review and processing, drug supply and inventory forecasting, data and document collection and archiving, informed consent form development and local review, program communication with stakeholders, budget planning and tracking, and on-time program launch. Manage any issues or problems in an efficient and effective manner, ensuring that all issues are resolved quickly and effectively.
  • Vendor Management: Responsible for MAP vendor management and oversight, including QC of essential regulatory documents required for drug release.
  • Stakeholder Management: Partner collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues. Ensure effective communication and status updates are provided. Bring cross-functional partners together utilizing the diverse expertise to ensure optimal program implementation and request management. Coordinate activities with cross-functional partners such as clinical development, supply chain, regulatory, pharmacovigilance, quality, legal, commercial, medical affairs, compliance, etc.
  • Reporting: Deliver high-quality reports including but not limited to adverse event/safety data, program metrics, and budget.
  • Strategic Support: Support the Head of MAP COE in strategic exercises relating to functional strategy and brand strategy.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and drive continuous improvement in process, tools, and technology. Review learnings from prior programs and implement best practices in future programs.
  • Governance: Ensure that all MAP activities on behalf of our patients are managed in accordance with Insmed policies and procedures and in compliance with local country legislative requirements. Support Inspection Readiness activities by ensuring accurate and complete documentation of program files. Support the creation of MAP policies, processes, and SOPs.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent 4-Year University degree required, other advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, MBA) is an advantage.
  • 7+ years industry experience with broad expertise in global managed access programs (PTA, CU, NPP) .
  • Experience supporting MAP across regions (US, Europe, etc.).
  • Strong facilitation and program management skills.
  • Ability to influence and drive without authority.
  • Forward looking with continuous process improvement mentality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory, clinical, and pharmaceutical industry requirements.

Salary Range: $147,000 - $206,333 a year
