ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION: Family-owned and operated since 1939, Koopman Lumber & Hardware boasts 13 locations across Massachusetts. POSITION: Rider - Helper
DESCRIPTION:
Responsibilities.
Duties include responsibility for safe and courteous delivery and handling of purchased building materials to customer facility; assist drivers with loading and unloading building materials from box truck deliveries.- Load and unload delivery trucks
- Responsible for quality of shipment leaving facility to its destination.
- Observe and follow all safety measures
- Assisting driver with windows, cabinets and doors.
- Perform warehouse duties as required.
Additional functions and duties may be assigned by supervisors as deemed appropriate.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Physical demands:
- Lift and carry 75-100 pounds
- Bend, stoop or squat to floor level on a repetitive basis.
- Reach over head to grasp materials.
- Previous experience in lumber yard and/or warehouse environment helpful.
Environment and physical working conditions:
- Working indoors in warehouse environment. Working outdoors in varying elements.
