Steampunk is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst. Reporting to the Portfolio Finance Director, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for all services related financial transactions, timesheet tracking, weekly project notebook updates, month end close, ad hoc reporting and analysis, and monthly forecasting process.

Contributions:

Responsibilities include:

  • Meet monthly with G&A leads to review actual costs and update forecast relative to budget.
  • Interact with accounts payable to understand cost allocation.
  • Work in costpoint to understand and update cost allocation as needed.
  • Help build and maintain annual and monthly forecast and budget files.
  • Track company backlog and contract value.
  • Analyze G&A monthly actual to budget cost variances provide comments.
  • Track and report on various labor metrics.
  • Track and report on project performance.
  • Track and report on indirect labor relative to budget.

Qualifications:

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration
  • 2-7 years of Federal Government Contracting
  • Experience with Deltek CostPoint, Cognos and Share Point
  • Intermediate/Advanced in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and listening skills; Team player
  • Ability to meet deadlines on assigned tasks and responsibilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Local to DMV - will be required to come in to the Tysons, VA office
