Assistant Controller

About the Opportunity:

With autonomy, independence, and the full support of the team, you’ll play a critical role in driving financial operations and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Profitability Analysis: Evaluate projects and operations to identify areas of growth and ensure profitability.
• Financial Planning & Cash Flow Management: Help with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis to mitigate risks and identify opportunities.
• Month-End Financials: Take ownership of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and more.
• Collaboration: Work closely with leadership, the accounting team, and project managers to manage cost center billing and maintain compliance with AIA billing policies.
• Process Improvement: Lead process optimization, transitioning from Excel to digital systems for efficiency and accuracy.
• Compliance & Consistency: Implement and maintain financial policies across the organization.

Desired Skills:

• Proven financial analysis/bookkeeping experience in construction or a related industry.
• Expertise in AIA billing policies and job costing, including Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting.
• Strong proficiency in Foundation software, Microsoft Excel, and other industry tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as cross-departmental collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable financial insights.
• A forward thinker who’s experienced in process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 4 plus years of experience
