- 5:30pm Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team!
This role involves operating various types of Material Handling Equipment while performing key warehouse tasks, including receiving, shipping, re-warehousing, picking, verifying, and inventory control.
The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse documentation, such as Tally Sheets, Pick Tickets, and Bills of Lading.Key Responsibilities: Operate Material Handling Equipment across all warehouse areas, including loading and unloading customer trucks (dry vans, refrigerated units, and flatbeds).
Verify shipments by comparing Bills of Lading to actual loads, checking for shortages or overages.
Maintain forklift batteries and chargers in temperature-controlled warehouses; manage fuel for forklifts in dry warehouses.
Accurately record pallet movements into and out of the warehouse.
Stretch-wrap pallets as needed and perform case picking & stacking.
Keep the workspace clean and follow warehouse housekeeping protocols.
Perform other assigned warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).Prior warehouse experience, especially in freezer environments, is a plus.
Skills & Abilities: ✅ Knowledge of general warehouse operations, terminology, and documentation.
✅ Strong verbal and written communication skills.✅ Basic math skills for inventory tracking.
✅ Ability to safely operate various types of Material Handling Equipment.
✅ Flexibility to work different shifts as needed.
✅ Must remain in a constant state of alertness and work safely.
✅ Experience with warehouse management systems (preferred).
Physical Requirements: Safely lift and handle up to 50 lbs.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb stairs.Comfortable with prolonged standing and walking.
Must be able to work in varying temperatures- from freezer conditions to ambient warehouse temperatures.
salary: $16/hr
work hours: 05:00 AM - 05:50 PM
qualifications:
- Successful performance on a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Test.
Shirts or t-shirts must have sleeves and be without any holes or rips. Pants without any holes or rips. No profane or suggestive texts and images. Closed steel toe footwear only.
