Mental Health Techician/ Psychiatric Hospital/ Variable/ Part-Time

Overview:
Provides patient care services to individuals with psychiatric and substance abuse disorders within an interdisciplinary team model. Interventions include physical and psychosocial activities. Assists with monitoring of the milieu for safety and security.Assists patients with ADL care. Performs monitoring of vital signs and assists with collection of specimens. Assists with maintenance of unit equipment and supplies. Helps patients with keeping their bed/room and belongings in order. Engages in therapeutic activities with patients and assists therapists with their programming.
Works under the direction of the nurse.
Must successfully pass an AHCA Level 2 screening for this position
Qualifications:Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:High School diploma, or its equivalent required. Has a current CNA or in nursing school having completed fundamental skills clinical experience. Previous work as a CNA, PCA or MHT preferred.Basic Life Support Required upon hire.Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:Employees in this position:Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purposeLicensure/Certification/Registration:Certification as a CNA is required.
