Role and responsibilities:

As an Equity Derivatives Trading Tools Developer, you will play a key role in supporting and enhancing critical applications for the US Equity Derivatives desk. You will work closely with traders and other technology teams to deliver high-impact solutions while maintaining a strong focus on collaboration and in-person interaction.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting applications used by the Equity Derivatives desk.
  • Working on both short and medium-term projects, leveraging technologies such as Python, Excel/VBA, kdb, and C# to develop trading tools.
  • Enhancing existing applications and building new solutions based on the needs of the desk.
  • Ensuring adherence to best coding practices, including code reviews and stakeholder validation.
  • Providing first-level support by troubleshooting issues, improving system stability, and automating processes to minimize manual interventions.
  • Collaborating with traders and internal technology teams to understand requirements and optimize application performance.

  • Experience in working on trading floor
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Engineering, Finance, or Quantitative Finance
  • 10+ years of experience in writing Python, Excel, VBA, developing and troubleshooting
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player in fast-paced dynamic software development/support environments.
  • Strong analytical skills for problem-solving
  • Good financial knowledge

The salary range for this role is US$120,000 - US$150,000
