Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Department: Rehabilitation

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Monitor and document vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
• Support patient mobility by assisting with walking aids, wheelchairs, and repositioning.
• Aid in therapeutic exercises and assist physical and occupational therapists as needed.
• Turn and reposition bed-bound patients to prevent pressure ulcers.
• Assist with feeding, monitor dietary intake, and ensure proper hydration.
• Maintain accurate records of patient observations and report any changes in condition.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients during their recovery.
• Follow infection control protocols, keep patient areas clean, and assist with bed-making.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a CNA in a rehabilitation setting.
• Language Skills: Must be fluent in Spanish (Read, Write, Speak).
• Certifications:
• Valid CNA License (NJ State)
• AHA BLS Certification
