Dispatcher - Merchantville

As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in our operations, coordinating and communicating with customers and service technicians to ensure efficient and timely service delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in active communication with customers to understand their needs and provide excellent service.
• Schedule and notify service technicians of work order assignments using dispatching software.
• Maintain an up-to-date service call log sheet, ensuring all relevant information is logged accurately.
• Actively manage the on-call schedule and keep technicians informed of their assigned weeks.
• Process and coordinate parts orders to support service technicians.
• Maintain and update customer repair records in the computer database, providing a detailed history of the work performed at their sites.
• Manage the dispatching board to ensure maximum efficient capacity of technicians.
• Handle various reporting responsibilities as needed.
• Learn and understand service work order module and service contracts.
• Stay updated with technicians' capabilities and dispatch accordingly.
• Proven experience in a dispatching role or similar position
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle complaints and resolve issues efficiently
• Proficiency in managing communications with clients, including taking calls, answering queries, and providing information
• Demonstrable ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously
• High level of adaptability and flexibility to handle unexpected situations or last-minute changes
• Familiarity with dispatching software and systems would be a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
• Willingness to work in shifts, during weekends, or on holidays if required
• High School diploma or equivalent is required; further education in logistics or a related field will be a plus.
