A well established construction company in Miami is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Accountant to join their construction team. This role is responsible for overseeing financial aspects of multiple projects, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and cost control.

salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per year

Responsibilities
  • Perform general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
  • Experience in the month-end and year-end close process.
  • Manage project budgets, track costs, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, including subcontractor and vendor invoices.
  • Prepare and review job cost reports, variance analysis, and financial statements.
  • Reconcile project expenses, purchase orders, and contracts to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor and track lien waivers, change orders, and retainage payments.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure budget adherence and forecast cash flow.
  • Assist in P&L and month-end closing processes.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy in project-related financial transactions.
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and contract terms.
