We are currently on the lookout for a Property Accountant to join the team at Yugo Denver! It’s a big job, but you will be part of a team of awesome Yugoers across the globe, who will support you to ensure we are consistent in the service we provide to our students.

Responsibilities:
Sound good so far? Here’s what you’ll need to thrive in this role!- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 1 - 3 years general ledger accounting experience, real estate and/or public accounting experience a plus
- Up to date on current technologies as well as intermediate skills in Excel, Word and Outlook
- Takes ownership of tasks and can be relied upon to complete them
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal) that will allow effective communication with all team members and company relationships
- This position will interact will all levels of the organization, including local and global teams
- Must be well-organized, have a strong attention to detail and an honest approach to tasks
- Carbon Literacy Certification or willingness to undertake training
- Flexibility to work 40+ hours, which may include evenings & weekends
- Analyze financial statements monthly, report on variances (budget vs actual) and hold properties accountable
- Assist department to complete monthly close procedures including prepare general ledger entries and perform account reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for senior leadership
- Present financial analysis to monitor operational performance and guide business decisions
- Become the subject matter expert and resource for areas of responsibility
- Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance
- Special projects as assigned
- Light travel may be required
- Be proactive in relation to processes, efficiencies & communication
