Alliance - Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team located in ALLIANCE, Ohio. The role is centered around full cycle accounts payable in the manufacturing industry and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications and coordinate with vendors, purchasing, and receiving as necessary
• Verify approvals before processing to ensure accuracy
• Handle sales and use tax, verify discounts, and document freight charges
• Conduct check runs and enter ACH and wire pays
• Make journal entries, including providing month-end support
• Utilize accounting software systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning tools
• Perform account coding, accounting functions, and accrual accounting
• Conduct auditing and account reconciliation
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management
• Ensure compliance with Accounts Payable (AP) standards and Automated Clearing House (ACH) procedures.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Understanding of Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP)
• Knowledge of Accrual Accounting
• Experience in Auditing
• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH)
• Proven ability in Account Reconciliation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrable skills in Account Coding
