Key Responsibilities as a Lead Cook at dnata Catering, your primary role will be to lead the culinary team in preparing exquisite, gourmet meals tailored for airline customers. You will collaborate closely with the culinary team to create a menu that offers a diverse range of delicious options, while adhering to the specific requirements of in-flight dining.Attention to detail, a passion for culinary arts, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are crucial in this role. You Will:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and prepare a menu that meets the unique requirements of airline customers and in-flight dining.
- Lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Prepare exquisite, gourmet meals with precision and elegance, paying meticulous attention to detail in presentation and flavor.
- Implement and maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and taste, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to support efficient kitchen operations.
- Train and mentor cooks, providing guidance and support to enhance their culinary skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and logistics, to ensure timely delivery of ingredients and supplies.
- Stay updated with industry trends and innovations, incorporating new techniques and ingredients into menu creations.
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities, working efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines.

This salary range and is influenced by the level of experience. When calculating the base pay, we take into account various factors such as location, qualifications, training, and experience as part of the overall compensation package. $24.50 per hour weekly pay
You Have:
EDUCATION: Associate’s Degree three (2) years in (culinary) in culinary field or appropriate Minimum of a High School Diploma / GED with 2+ years’ experience in a high-volume fine dining food service- 2+ years’ experience in a high-volume food service with at least 1-year experience/exposure to menu research and development.
- A reliable, quality-conscious, safe worker.
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced hot kitchen.
- Culinary knowledge of terms, procedures, and practices.
- Flexibility to perform assigned tasks independently or as part of a team.
- HACCP knowledge.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to deal with a heavy workload.
- Self-organized and capable to work independently as well as in a team.
- Ability to accurately monitor wastage.
- Flexibility (different shifts - night, weekends, holidays).
Intellectual/Social demands:
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits. Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time.This position also requires constant attendance and punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time. Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.

Physical demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds. Work environment:
The essential functions of this position are performed indoors. The noise level in the work environment can range from minimal to loud.
