Job Description
My client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales & Business Development Manager with a technical preclinical background and expertise in immuno-oncology, oncology, degenerative disorders, or related therapeutic area. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding their business by identifying strategic opportunities, fostering partnerships, and driving revenue growth.This role is for the Southern California territory.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors related to preclinical discovery and development.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Technical Expertise: Leverage a strong technical background in preclinical research, with a focus on immuno-oncology, oncology, degenerative disorders, or related areas to effectively communicate with clients and internal teams.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic plans for business development, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify opportunities and mitigate potential challenges.
- Proposal Development: Lead the development of high-quality proposals and presentations, showcasing the company's capabilities and value proposition.
- Contract Negotiation: Drive successful contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms for both the company and clients.
- Close/Win new Business: Prospect and identify potential clients, selling solutions and closing new deals

The Successful Applicant- Bachelors, Master's, Ph.D. in a relevant scientific field.
- Proven experience in preclinical research, with a focus on immuno-oncology, oncology, degenerative disorders, or related areas.
- Previous experience with genetically engineered mouse models is highly preferred.
- Previous experience or exposure to a commercial/business development role in the pharmaceutical or CRO industry.
- General knowledge of experience of pharmaceutical development.
- Strong network within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
- Rolodex of clients in the Mid Atlantic/Boston area.
- Able to work independently and organize portfolio of business
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Candidates ideally located in Southern California region.
- Highly competitive base salary and bonus structure.
- Report directly to VP or Marketing & Business Development NAM.
