This unique capability allows for combined Full Current and Full Voltage factory testing of the transformer and rectifier in their actual configuration prior to shipment.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Lead Kick-Off Meetings to confirm project scope, customer deadlines, high-level schedules, labor budget hours, and revenue milestones.
  • Collaborate with core functions (Sales, Engineering, Planning, Procurement, Finance, and Manufacturing) to generate project specifications and confirm customer requirements at the Sales Order inception:
  • Review Sales Budget Worksheet.
  • Validate Engineering and Production department labor hour budgets.
  • Communicate discrepancies to Sales and Finance.
  • Define key project requirements, including revenue milestones, and relay them to team members.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact for project status updates, change order management, milestone tracking, and production schedule deviations.
  • Review project plans to identify and resolve:
  • Labor load conflicts (under/overload issues).
  • Material lead time conflicts.
  • Oversee the Production Build Plan, including:
  • Start-to-finish scheduling.
  • Coordination with Production Planning to align with customer needs.
  • Take a leadership role in developing project schedules, tasks, completion estimates, specifications, test plans, equipment purchases, and revenue milestones.
  • Assist in resource coordination for engineering and production to meet or improve deadlines and budgets.
  • Ensure Quality department stays ahead of certification needs for shipments.
  • Track Engineering due dates versus completion percentages, resolve conflicts, and improve design-engineering processes.
  • Monitor budget hours versus completion percentages, communicating issues with Production and Finance.
  • Meet with Finance to review project progress regarding schedule and budget.
  • Facilitate production delivery of completed units to the Test department.
  • Work with Procurement to adjust material schedules as needed.
  • Coordinate witness test dates between customers and the Test department.
  • Conduct project close-out meetings to review technical and budget changes.
  • Document issues encountered throughout the project and recommend process improvements for future projects.

The Successful Applicant

Education & Experience:

  • Experience in a custom industrial project-based organization is highly preferred.
  • Ability to interface with Sales, Engineering (internal and external), Finance, and Production teams, along with direct customer management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with coursework related to oil-filled power transformer and rectifier manufacturing, OR equivalent progressively responsible work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in oil-filled power transformer and rectifier manufacturing/design.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
