Behavioral Health Technician - Philadelphia
outpatient behavioral health center that provides one-on-one center-based Intensive
Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) to children between the ages of 2 to 12 who
have been diagnosed with Autism and/or other developmental delays. We are
located in Wilkes-Barre Twp, PA and operate year-round. Our clinic hours are
Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. We are closed on all federal
holidays.
Elite ABA Therapy, LLCspecializes in providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services, which
are the most widely known evidence-based practices for teaching new skills and
improving behavior. Our goal is to optimize our clients’ independence and promote
social integration by teaching meaningful and socially significant skills in
the least restrictive environment. Our clinic is designed to simulate an Early
Intervention-like setting, but without academic curriculum. Teaching is
completely individualized and based on the client’s needs identified in their
treatment plan. Clients receive 1:1 individual services but are grouped with up
to 7 other children to simulate a classroom. Each group of children follow a
daily schedule of activities that include both individual and group formats.
Individual activities include direct instruction of skill acquisition programs
specified in the client’s individualized treatment plan, such as teaching
communication skills. Group activities include circle time, structured play
groups, and planned activities (music, arts and crafts, etc.) to work on social
skills and generalizing learned skills to group settings.
The daily schedule is designed for 3different sessions per day; the morning session from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, the
second session from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm., and the after-school session from
3:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
Behavioral HealthTechnician/Registered Behavior Technician Service Role and Responsibilities
A BHT/RBT works one-on-one witha client using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques to
decrease maladaptive behaviors by teaching functional replacement skills. The
goal of therapy is to teach skills that promote client independence and social
integration. This is done through a behavioral assessment and treatment plan
designed by the supervising Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. This plan is
implemented by the RBT/BHT through daily therapy sessions in our clinic
setting.
Specific duties include:
- Implementing interventions specified in the client's
activities
- Collecting data in real time throughout the session
- Writing daily progress notes (via web-based practice

- Being present for supervision with BC-ABA/BCBA
(minimum of 5% of total work hours as required by the BACB)
Job Requirements:
- Adequate physical mobility (e.g. able to get up and
the case of client elopement/danger, etc.)
- Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
- Reliable transportation
- Active Registered Behavior Technician certificate
for the 40-hour RBT training course
- FBI, PA State, and PA Child Abuse Clearances
- State-mandated IBHS service provider trainings

Pay Rates
BHT's are initially hired under
Part-Time Status: 37.5 hours per week or less in the clinic setting, Monday-Friday between clinic hours of 9 am to 4:30 pm.
Pay differential based on level ofeducation and experience (40-hour RBT training required)
- Base pay:
- $18/hour for High School Diploma
- $19/hour for Associate’s Degree
- $20/hour for Bachelor’s Degree
- Hourly bonus for BHT experience:
- Extra $1/hour for 1-2 years of experience
- Extra $2/hour for 3-4 years of experience
- Extra $3/hour for 5+ years of experience
- Part-Time Employee Benefits:
- 2 weeks of flexible paid time off per year (employees
will receive 1 week of PTO after the 90-day probationary period and then
an additional week after they have worked for 6 months and do not have aprobationary status resulting from a disciplinary action).
