Tax Preparer

We are seeking a Tax Preparer to join our team in a CPA firm located in Hermitage, Pennsylvania. This role involves reviewing and preparing personal tax returns and ensuring accuracy before they're sent for final approval. This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Review personal tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Prepare personal tax returns using Ultra Tax software.
• Liaise with customers to resolve any inquiries related to their tax returns.
• Assist in obtaining PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number) as required.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to maintain and update customer records.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly and professionally to all customer inquiries.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as needed. • Proficient in the use of Ultra Tax software
• Experience in preparing Income Tax Returns
• Familiarity with Personal Tax Returns preparation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report generation
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle client queries and concerns effectively
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of client information
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
• Basic understanding of tax laws and regulations
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tax procedures and changes
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred but not mandatory
• Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) is a plus
