Attorney/Lawyer

This role operates primarily from a hybrid workplace.

• Conduct comprehensive reviews of title searches for complex commercial properties.
• Identify and resolve any issues related to title and development.
• Engage in correspondence with various County officials to resolve and complete road and alley closures, PILOT Agreements, and zoning issues.
• Prepare and issue title commitments and policies for both owners and lenders in multi-tiered real estate financing transactions.
• Determine the applicability of owner and lender endorsements.
• Prepare complex commercial settlement statements with multiple sources of real estate financing.
• Prepare necessary seller and buyer title company documents.
• Conduct closings and prepare documents for recording.
• Handle transaction types including Low Income Housing Tax Credit Deals, State Housing Authority financing and bond offerings, and Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) deals with the US Department of HUD.
• A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school is required.
• Admission to the Maryland Bar.
• At least 1 year of experience in the legal field is needed.
• Demonstrated experience in Real Estate Law is essential.
• Proficiency in handling Real Estate - Title matters is required.
• Experience in dealing with Real Estate - Commercial cases is necessary.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills are needed.
• Proficiency in legal research and writing is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
• The ability to maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment is needed.
• Must demonstrate a high degree of detail orientation and integrity.
• Proficiency in the use of legal software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
