Accountant - New Britain

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team in New Britain, CT. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers a competitive pay rate of $35–$40 per hour. The ideal candidate will be responsible for general accounting functions, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and payroll.Experience with Epicor or similar ERP systems is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
- Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Manage accounts receivable, invoicing, and collections.
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Assist with financial reporting and support audits as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and support process improvements in accounting operations.
Qualifications:
- years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or similar industry.
- Proficiency in Epicor or other ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of AP, AR, payroll, and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.

Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
