Housekeeping-Laundry Supervisor Primary Responsibilities
The Housekeeping-Laundry Supervisor is responsible for oversight of the Housekeeping, Laundry and Floorcare Departments in order to provide a clean, safe and sanitary environment for the residents, staff and visitors of the facility. Responsibilities also include ensuring that a successful housekeeping program is maintained at all times and that housekeeping is in compliance with ISDH survey regulations.
Responsibilities:
Housekeeping-Laundry Supervisor Essential Functions- Ensuring that housekeeping, laundry and floorcare tasks are being carried out according to policy/procedure and that they are meeting quality assurance standards of the facility
- Overseeing the recruitment, interviewing and selection of housekeeping, laundry and floorcare personnel
- Preparing written employee performance evaluations and making recommendations for salary increases, terminations and disciplinary actions
- Maintaining knowledge of State and Federal regulations for housekeeping/environmental issues for in-servicing purposes
- Maintaining and complying with department budgets and being prudent with the ordering of supplies and equipment
- Maintaining Floorcare Schedule
- Disposing of refuse daily in accordance with our established sanitation procedures
- Maintaining the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure residents rights, privacy and property are protected at all times
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Housekeeping-Laundry Supervisor Qualifications- Have a thorough understanding of housekeeping, laundry and floorcare practices within the State of Indiana
- Must possess managerial and interpersonal skills
- The ability to maintain budgets, records and reports
- The possession of personal integrity and the ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and personnel
- The ability to get along with departments as a Team Player
- A high school diploma or GED preferred
