Office of Dietary Supplement "Enhance Health" Postdoc Fellowship
This project, entitled, Enhancing health by addressing nutrient deficiencies and improving physical activity during GLP-1 agonist treatment explores the role for dietary supplements, dietary patterns, as well as bone-loading and muscle-strengthening activity, in the context of GLP-1 agonist obesity treatment.
What will I be doing?
In this program the fellow will participate in trans-NIH collaborative discussions about research gaps that need to be addressed for teens and adults being treated with GLP-1 Receptor Agonists for weight loss. The fellow will also have an opportunity to participate in NIH and trans-agency groups in the space of childhood and adult obesity, nutrition, physical activity, and others based on the fellows scientific expertise and interests.
What are the provisions?
Participants will receive a competitive stipend. Participants may also be eligible to receive a health insurance allowance and/or reimbursement for professional travel expenses.
Qualifications
Be a U.S. citizen.
Have earned a doctoral degree within the last 12 months.
Candidate should have recently earned a doctoral degree in the nutritional sciences, exercise physiology, epidemiology, public health, psychology, or a closely related field. Demonstrated proficiency with written and oral communication required.
