Machine Builder

Reports To: Plant Manager

The Machine Builder will maintain accurate documentation and communicate project progress, ensuring successful completion and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead machine assembly for assigned projects.
• Carefully and precisely assemble fixtures and machines using provided engineering documents.
• Modify parts as needed to ensure proper fit, and update drawings to reflect any adjustments.
• Keep the Assembly Manager informed of issues or delays affecting project timelines.
• Maintain and update all redline and assembly documents for communication with engineering teams.
• Ensure a clean and organized assembly workspace.
• Coordinate resources and communicate any additional project needs with the Assembly Manager.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of assembly standards and procedures.
• Support Controls Engineers during machine debugging and provide viable solutions.
• Assist in other assembly areas as needed to meet project schedules.
• Exhibit a positive attitude, contributing to team-building efforts.
• Perform facility maintenance tasks as directed by the Assembly Manager.
• Travel as required for machine installation and on-site customer support.

Qualifications:

• Experience in NC shop environments.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and basic fabrication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently, with occasional heavier lifting.
• Capable of standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing for equipment work.
• Proficient in using tools to perform repairs and maintenance.
• Ability to perform duties that include talking, walking, standing, and sitting in an office environment.
