We are seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven SQL Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights and ensuring data accuracy to support business decisions. This individual must have a strong understanding of SQL, data modeling, and relational databases, as well as the ability to analyze trends, interpret data, and present findings effectively to key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis and Insights:
- Query and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize data and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Database Management and Optimization:
- Design, optimize, and maintain SQL queries to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing.
- Monitor database performance and implement improvements to enhance query speed and overall system performance.
- Assist in the maintenance, integrity, and accuracy of databases.
- Data Validation and Cleaning:
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies in the company’s databases.
- Ensure data quality through rigorous validation checks and adherence to data governance standards.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to address key business needs.
- Present analysis results in a clear and concise manner through visualizations, written reports, or verbal communication.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users regarding data-related tools and insights.
- Process Improvement:
- Proactively identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions to streamline data workflows.
- Stay updated on the latest SQL and data analytics best practices, tools, and technologies.
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst, or similar role.
- Proficient in SQL, including complex joins, stored procedures, and query optimization.
- Strong knowledge of relational database systems (e.g., MySQL, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with data cleaning, profiling, and validation methods.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively present complex data-driven findings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience working with big data platforms and/or cloud-based data solutions.
- Understanding of Python, R, or other programming languages frequently used in data analysis.
