Overview:

The San Diego, CA office of Lewis Brisbois is seeking a paralegal with workers' compensation experience. The primary duties of this position include working for a minimum of (4) attorneys, case management, preparing filings and documents, page line deposition summaries, preparing subpoenas, managing discovery, medical records summaries, trial prep, and legal research.

In addition, attending hearings may be a function of this role.

Job Specifications/Requirements:

  • Candidates must have a certificate from an ABA approved school or meet Paralegal qualifications based on California Business and Professions code §6450
  • At least two (2) years of substantive workers’ comp. work experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Strong Excel skills required
  • Strong organizational, written & verbal communication skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of case management
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to work flexible and/or fluctuating work hours
  • This position has an annual billable requirement of 1,600 hours
