Assistant Controller

We are in search of an Assistant Controller to join our team located in San Antonio, Texas. The Assistant Controller will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of our organization. This role is a contract to permanent employment opportunity with a primary focus on guiding the team, reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the closure of books and ensure it is completed in a timely manner
• Direct and guide the team on how to improve balance sheet reconciliations
• Train team members to enhance their skills and efficiency
• Assist with financial planning and analysis reporting
• Ensure bank reporting is completed by the 25th of every month
• Utilize various accounting software systems including NetSuite, G2G, Revenova, and Accounting Seed
• Manage potential acquisition processes, possibly assisting with due diligence
• Supervise two direct reports and provide guidance to the Assistant Controller
• Handle technical accounting aspects, ensuring alignment with accounting standards
• Manage any changes to new leases as necessary
• Oversee year-end closing processes and month-end close procedures
• Handle billing functions and oversee both accounts payable and receivable operations. • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Demonstrated understanding of Accounting Functions
• Practical knowledge in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with Auditing processes
• Competency in Billing Functions
• Proficiency in using NetSuite
• Ability to manage Month End Close procedures
• Experience in handling Year End Closings
• Skills in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A)
