Accounts Payable Clerk

We are in the market for a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to become part of our team. This role is in the transportation industry, located in Waterbury, Connecticut, United States. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity, where you will be involved in processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer inquiries.

• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner
• Maintain and update customer credit records regularly
• Monitor customer accounts and initiate appropriate action when necessary
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve them efficiently
• Utilize MS Excel to perform data entry and generate reports
• Ensure all financial data is recorded accurately and in compliance with company guidelines
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain confidentiality of all financial information
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations
• Assist in other accounting tasks as needed. • Possesses a high school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred
• Displays proficiency in MS Excel
• Demonstrates experience in accounts payable or general accounting
• Exhibits strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Shows ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills
• Has knowledge of general accounting procedures
• Is able to work independently and as part of a team
• Displays problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
• Shows familiarity with data entry and management
• Has knowledge of relevant accounting software
• Demonstrates understanding of confidentiality and data privacy standards.
