Accounting Clerk

We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in the construction industry, located in Weddington, North Carolina, 28104, United States. The main function of this role will be to provide administrative support within the areas of accounting and procurement, as well as project management throughout the organization.

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications
• Uphold accurate records of customer credit
• Resolve customer inquiries and monitor customer accounts
• Ensure proper receipt of all invoices, checking for accuracy and compliance with contract requirements
• Take responsibility for vendor management including setting up new vendor accounts, managing credit applications, and dealing with any vendor-related issues
• Prepare, issue, and organize Purchase Orders, ensuring compliance with contract requirements
• Work closely with Project Management team, Superintendents, Engineers, and other departments to complete related tasks
• Support the management team in project budget reporting
• Maintain project records, including all material and equipment
• Manage all aspects of the company fleet program including purchase, registration, sale, and maintenance
• Provide backup to Controller as needed
• Work on special projects as assigned • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required
• Must have experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary
• Must have experience in Billing procedures
• Proficient in Data Entry tasks
• Experience in Invoice Processing is essential
• Must be adept at using Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of Oracle software is needed
• Experience with QuickBooks is a must
• Familiarity with SAP software is required
