We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring our clients' financial records are accurate and up-to-date, supporting their financial health and compliance.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, an eye for detail, and a strong understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Recordkeeping:

  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions for multiple clients, including posting journal entries and reconciling accounts.
  • Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, ensuring timely payments and invoicing.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of bank accounts and credit card accounts.

Payroll and Tax Support:

  • Process payroll for clients, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Prepare and file payroll tax reports and 1099 forms.
  • Assist with the preparation of sales tax filings and other regulatory submissions.
  • Preparation of individual income tax returns (S& F will train as needed)

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.
  • Provide financial insights and data to support client decision-making.

Client Support and Communication:

  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients regarding bookkeeping inquiries, financial reports, and tax-related matters.
  • Assist clients with setting up and maintaining their accounting systems and workflows.

Collaboration with the Firm & CPA Team:

  • Work closely with CPAs to support tax preparation, audits, and financial reviews.
  • Identify discrepancies and collaborate to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Assistance with internal accounting and firm administration

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a CPA firm or multi-client environment.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, payroll processing, and tax reporting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
