We are seeking a Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our team based in New Hyde Park, New York. In this role, you will be expected to develop HR strategies, manage employee relations, implement HR systems, and stay informed about HR industry trends.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enforce HR strategies, policies, and procedures that align with our company's goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the entire employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding processes.
  • Address and manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
  • Implement and maintain HR systems and databases to streamline HR processes and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR-related matters, including performance issues, career development, and employee engagement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in HR management, and recommend improvements to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead and participate in HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Maintain knowledge of current laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management.
  • Ensure compliance with employment, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
  • Participate in contract negotiation processes.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR role within a hi-tech engineering environment.
  • Proficiency in using ADP Enterprise for HR administration tasks.
  • Extensive knowledge of HR policies, strategies, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with contract negotiations, contracting, and dealing with contracts.
  • Proven track record in managing change within an organization.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on employee relations.
  • Demonstrated experience in career development, performance appraisals, and onboarding processes.
  • Familiarity with outsourcing and pension administration.
  • Ability to handle HR administration tasks, including personnel file maintenance.
  • Experience in new employee orientation and fostering a positive onboarding experience.
  • Strong recruiting skills with a focus on sourcing top talent in the Hi Tech Engineering industry.
  • Expertise in creating and implementing policies and procedures related to HR.
  • Strategic planning skills with the ability to align HR initiatives with business objectives.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant employment legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Must be willing to continue education in HR through classes, seminars, and certification programs.
