Job Overview:
Unio IT and Change are recruiting a Senior Cloud Azure Engineer to be part of our exciting journey to become the most innovative Wealth Management business in Ireland. You'll play a pivotal role in helping to design, implement, and optimize our cloud infrastructure, aligning with Unio and Irish Life Group’s technology strategy, standards, guidelines, and principles.You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our Azure and On Prem environment supports our business objectives, scalability, security and performance requirements.

Unio Wealth Management's estate is fully cloud-native, featuring:
- Salesforce Financial Services Cloud: Fully integrated with third-party services such as IDPal and DocuSign.
- Experience Cloud: A unique Client Portal in the Irish market.
- Voyant: Financial planning platform.
- Snowflake: Data analytics platform.
- Azure Networks: Hosting our websites, managing authentication with Azure B2C, and handling data integration with Azure Data Factory.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT, development, and operations teams to deliver projects and solutions that meet business needs.
- Develop, Test and Monitor solutions and deployment to ensure good technical health. Ownership of the Continuous Delivery Pipelines.
- Manage and Maintain Business Solutions: Oversee the operation and continuous improvement of cloud-based business solutions hosted on Microsoft Azure.
- Ensure systems reliability by verifying deployments through monitoring and automated testing.
- Monitor and manage cost/utilisation of the environment. This includes ensuring cost efficiency and optimal resource utilization to maintain a balanced budget while achieving performance goals.
- Technical Strategy: Have input into the technical strategy for our Azure application environment, aligning with business objectives and industry best practices. Ensure that solutions align with current and anticipated business objectives.
- Technical Estate: Oversight of Unios On Prem infrastructure, which is managed by GWLE Central Tech Services.
- Scalability, Stability, and Performance: Work on designs that support scalability and performance requirements, optimizing resource utilization and minimizing downtime.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all architectural designs and implementations.
- Technical representation for Unio at key discussions within Irish Life Group and, as opportunities arise, engage at European and Global levels.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience in a similar role.
- Excellent collaboration skills, essential for working within your team and engaging with peers across the IS organisation.
- Ability to influence and provide effective support to Senior IS and Business leaders.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, necessary for articulating complex ideas and demystifying technology and systems.
- As strong understanding of Microsoft Azure technologies with the technical capability and experience to learn new technologies and understand relevant cloud trends.
- Good knowledge of Application Engineering, complemented by experience with DevOps and Agile practices.
- Has experience building and monitoring of CI/CD pipelines and SDLC.
- Experience with integration patterns, security best practices, and applications development environments.
- Versatile experience working with various deployment models, including On-Premise, Private Cloud, Hybrid Cloud, and Public Cloud.
