The hourly rate for this position is $18.89 per hour with a $1 per hour shift differential.

What you’ll do:
Position Overview:The Fabrication Technician IV will be responsible for achieving daily production goals with focus on safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity. They will prepare aluminum and copper busbars for assembly by operating manual presses, hand grinders, taping bars, shearing, or de-coiling prior to being sent to the Epoxy process.
This role may also be responsible for gathering material for work centers.

In this function you will:
- Comply with the environment, health, and safety guidelines.
- Sustainment of 5S+ in area.
- Be responsible for following all safety policies and procedures, complying with WSRA’s, and wearing proper PPE. Any safety issue identified should be reported immediately to team lead, supervisor, or manager.
- Set-up and perform metal joining and cutting operations, with ferrous and nonferrous metals such as (copper, steel, stainless steel, aluminum, galvanized steel, and cast metals), with or without fixtures.
- Receive work assignments from supervisor or production control system.
- Input information into data collection system as required.
- Work from manufacturing information, sketches, drawings, oral and written instructions.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery such as oiling, manual clamp adjustments, and clamp/finger replacement.
- Frequently pushing or pulling up to 100 lbs; frequently lifting up to 50 lbs. In addition, use material handling equipment to load, unload, transport, and position heavy loads.
- Be familiar with all materials used to perform job functions. Follow material safety data sheet instructions.
- Utilize calipers, gauges, or other measuring devices to assure engineering standards to the .001 precision level.
- Perform statistical process control on machinery, as required.
- Will be required to have or complete forklift certification.
- Will be required to learn all fabrication welding operations including braze, housing, and robotic welding.
- Will support in training of new operators including covering training documents, WSRA, method sheets, etc.
- Responsible to flex to fabrication work areas as needed, including Geka shear, coil machine, accessory bend, press brake, downdraft, masking, welding, laser and housing.

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship
Preferred qualifications:
- 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Prior experience with forklift operations
- 3 year of experience using hand and air tools
- South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent
Skills:

- Understanding and use if Power BI
- Effective oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage by influence through solid relationships and process focus
- Mechanical aptitude
