Data Platform Architect
The role has two primary responsibilities. First is the continued expansion and administration of the university’s enterprise data warehouse. In this role, the Data Platform Architect will work closely with internal business leads and technical resources, as well as external vendors to extend the ‘Mode 1’ data warehouse environment/ETL, as well design and implement new data marts and analytic structures to support reporting and analytic needs across the university.
The second area of responsibility represents a unique opportunity to translate the university’s vision for a modern data and analytics platform into a robust technical architecture, define an actionable implementation approach, and perform development activities.As the lead data architect and technical expert, the Data Platform Architect will draw from experience implementing on-prem and cloud-based data management environments, big data technologies, and artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities to fully execute on the data strategy road map.
The ideal candidate is someone who brings comprehensive data architecture experience and is eager to rapidly develop his or her skill set.
The Data Platform Architect will collaborate with other technical resources on development activities and mentor university staff in state-of-the-art data management and analytic technologies.
