Actuarial Analyst II
Duties:
Responsible for managing our E&R property team for identifying and expanding model and parameter enhancements to those core products [30%].Develop, modify, and run property per risk pricing models including various launching capabilities on S and International business [15%].
Recreate and treat clients on complicated spreadsheet macros and formulas underlying some of our legacy property actuarial models [5%].
Work with clients and prospects to analyze various property exposures and help supervise production of sample case study reports and explanation to the client [15%].
Front-line responder to any questions from insurers and reinsurers on installation and usage of property products [15%].
Integrate with other Verisk property products and collaborate with other business units to create synergy [10%].
Make presentations to Panels on property topics as required and provide updated and new materials in support of the Panels [10%].
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related field, plus 3 years of experience as Actuarial Analyst or related occupation.
Requires 3 years of experience with all of the following: i) reinsurance coverages including treaty and facultative; and ii) explaining reinsurance technology such as excess concepts and coverage intricacies to non-technical audiences.
Requires 2 years of experience with all of the following: iii) actuarial methodologies; iv) programming skills including Microsoft Office products, including Excel, VBA, SQL; and v) analyzing significant amounts of data for statistical indicators.
