This role involves close collaboration with multiple business units, providing hands-on support to integrate small and disadvantaged businesses into projects that align with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing and Evaluating Suppliers:
- Identify and source potential small and disadvantaged business suppliers to meet company needs and compliance standards.
- Evaluate suppliers based on financial stability, performance history, and capacity to fulfill project requirements.
- Collaborate with business development and operational units to align sourcing strategies with growth initiatives.
On-Boarding and Supplier Integration:
- Facilitate the onboarding process for small and disadvantaged business suppliers, ensuring accuracy in compliance documentation.
- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate suppliers into projects and ensure their understanding of commercial requirements.
Compliance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track and monitor supplier performance through automated systems, audits, and site visits.
- Prepare and present compliance reports for commercial clients, agencies, and internal teams.
Program and Event Management:
- Organize procurement events such as supplier diversity workshops and networking sessions to engage and support small and disadvantaged businesses.
- Oversee compliance programs in alignment with business development goals and operational needs.
Regulatory Compliance and Knowledge Sharing:
- Stay informed on relevant federal regulations and commercial requirements related to small business utilization.
- Provide guidance and training on compliance and procurement processes to team members and clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Interest in procurement, supplier diversity, and working with small and disadvantaged businesses.
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn automated procurement tools.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coursework or experience in procurement.
- Knowledge of federal regulations (FAR, DFARS) concerning supplier diversity.
- Previous experience in a procurement capacity, through internships, co-ops, or project work.
- Bachelors Degree in related field
