Position Overview:**

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, experience in the construction industry, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities effectively.

• **General Accounting:**
• Manage daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with budget preparation and project cost tracking.
• Monitor and track job costs, ensuring accuracy in billing and reporting.
• Process invoices, track payments, and assist with vendor management.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies.
• **Payroll Processing:**
• Process weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payroll for employees, including union and non-union workers.
• Verify timesheets, job codes, and deductions.
• Ensure accurate processing of benefits, bonuses, overtime, and vacation pay.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and assist in payroll-related audits.
• Prepare and file payroll taxes, including quarterly and annual reports.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve any payroll discrepancies.
• **Construction-Specific Tasks:**
• Collaborate with project managers to monitor project budgets, costs, and financial performance.
• Track subcontractor payments and retainage.
• Assist with job costing and the preparation of billing invoices to clients.
• Ensure proper allocation of costs and revenue for ongoing construction projects.
• **Other Duties:**
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Participate in internal and external audits.
• Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
• Provide support for other finance team members as needed.

• MUST HAVE Vista by Viewpoint experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll processing, and construction accounting practices.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Procore, Sage 300, or similar) is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of payroll tax laws and compliance.

• Experience with construction job costing and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with union payroll and compliance.
