Description:
Akima Data Management (ADM), an Akima company, is looking to hire a Windows Systems Administrator to support their client onsite in Washington, DC to join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!
Responsibilities:
- Installs, configures and maintains Windows Server operating systems and related infrastructure
- Manages Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and other core Windows services
- Monitors system performance and proactively identifies and resolves issues to ensure high availability and optimal performance
- Implements and maintains security policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure data integrity and protection
- Manages backups and disaster recovery processes to ensure business continuity
- Collaborates with other IT teams to support and maintain the overall IT infrastructure
- Maintains accurate documentation of all system configurations, changes and procedures
- Manages Cybersecure Intrusion Protections System
- Performs desktop installation, setup and configurations of new or existing equipment
- Manages user account creation, modification, and deletion of user accounts in Microsoft Active Directory
- Creation and issuance of Public Key Infrastructure Smart Cards for classified and unclassified networks
- Assesses and validates classified user requirements for new item requests, research and recommend technical solutions
- New workstation setup including networked desktop/laptop, printers, scanners and switches
- Maintains and troubleshoots computing and peripheral devices (e.g., keyboard, video, mouse (KVM), multi-function print devices (MFP/MFD), thin clients, secure telephones, video teleconferencing systems, and monitors) for all networks
- Assists with secure video teleconference and secure telephone setup and support
- Manages and updates client support tickets in ServiceNow ITSM environment
Qualifications:
- Must have Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
- Windows Server Certification
- 5 years or more experience as a Windows Server Administrator or related role
- 5 years or more experience in network management
- Strong experience in MS Visio

Pay Range: $120,000 to $125,000
