Accounting Manager (Aviation MRO)

Summary:

An Aviation MRO company is looking to hire an experienced Accounting Manager in Opa Locka, FL. This is a full-time permanent position that would eventually grow into a Controller position for the company. The ideal candidate will have a background in Aviation MRO with prior Accounting Management experience.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, and month-end close.
• Analyze the general ledger/trial balance to identify and resolve variances and support budgeting and forecasting.
• Conduct financial analysis, monitor performance trends, and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, financial projections, and board presentations.
• Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance organizational compliance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with teams to optimize cost allocation, inventory management, and MRO financial processes.
• Manage treasury functions, including cash flow and bank relationships.
• Lead audits, including financial, inventory appraisal, lending, and tax compliance audits.
