Responsibilities:
PURPOSE:
Oversee and direct all that transpires in the Molding Department
RESPONSIBILITIES and AUTHORITY:
- To produce quality molded product in a safe, efficient, and profitable manner.
- To assist the plant manager in any way.
- To lead the department based on the Quality Vision Statement.
- To maximize production and minimize scrap.
- To identify problem areas in the department, and set in motion corrective action.
- To help train the molding technical staff.
- To hold meetings with the technical staff and the molding department as a whole.
- To make the Molding Department a safe place to work.
- To schedule the Molding Department personnel.
- Responsible for department manual.
- Maintain and enforce all company policies.
- Responsible for approving vacations for all molding salaried personnel.
- Responsible for molding efficiencies, and molding budget.
- Responsible for ensuring the compliance with product safety guidelines.
- Responsible for ensuring employees are trained and comply with the Berry Safety Absolutes.
- Responsibilities and Authority include assuring compliance with federal, state, government and/or any appropriate regulatory law or guidelines.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- BA or BS in Business Management, Injection Molding, Plastics, is a plus.
- Able to supervise people.
- Injection Molding experience preferred.
- Self-starter with eagerness to learn and take initiative.
Properly use and read rulers, micrometers and other measuring instruments
