Overview:

Speech Language Pathologist-II is an independent licensed provider of medical speech-language pathology services for the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders. SLP-II demonstrates proficiency in practice and identifies the physiological, safety, developmental and educational needs of patients and families using appropriate tests and/or technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • In accordance with certification and licensure standards, proficiently performs and documents diagnostic and therapeutic interventions and procedures to evaluate, diagnose and treat communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Continues education, training and instruction to acquire new skills and competencies.
  • Participates in activities to increase the quality, efficiency and outcomes of patient care, with increased leadership and responsibility.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree and 1-2 years experience Pathology and completed Clinical Fellowship required. Pediatric experience preferred, but not required. Experience as a paraprofessional in speech pathologist area accepted. or
  • Licensed Speech/Language Pathologist KS
  • Licensed Speech/Language Pathologist MO
  • Am. Speech Language Hearing Assoc. Cert. of Clinical Comp.
  • Employees must obtain Am. Speech Language Hearing Assoc. Cert. of Clinical Comp. or equivalent within 60 days
  • Employees must obtain Licensed Speech/Language Pathologist KS or equivalent within 60 days
  • Employees must obtain Licensed Speech/Language Pathologist MO or equivalent within 60 days
  • SPEECH PATH LIC MO Licensed Speech/Language Pathologist MO Missouri State license in Speech/Language Pathology (required if working in MO) Required 60 Days
  • SPEECH PATH LIC KS Licensed Speech/Language Pathologist KS Kansas state license in Speech-Language Pathology KS (required if working in KS) Required 60 Days
  • ASHA CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) Required 60 Days

Starting Pay:

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $33.23/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home:

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
