We seek a SharePoint Business Analyst – ECM Specialist to support the Engineering Application Services Department. This individual will focus on business analysis, process improvement, and solution design for Operations and Traffic business processes, delivering content management solutions using SharePoint and web-based platforms.
The selected candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize projects, break down requirements into work items, track progress, and ensure timely and high-quality deliverables. Additionally, they will oversee quality assurance testing, user training, and change management efforts to ensure a smooth transition to new business processes and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement SharePoint and web-based solutions to support transportation lifecycle business processes.
- Break down high-level solution designs into actionable work items and track progress through development.
- Coordinate project timelines, track dependencies, and manage stakeholder communication.
- Perform quality assurance testing for SharePoint and content management solutions.
- Develop user training materials and facilitate training sessions for business users.
- Document business processes, system requirements, and project deliverables.
- Consult with business users to prototype, refine, and test SharePoint applications and workflows.
- Provide quality control and oversight on project deliverables to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Offer guidance and support to team members on SharePoint best practices.
Basic Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, supporting content management and business process transformation.
- Strong SharePoint expertise, including designing custom lists, libraries, and content types.
- Experience designing and testing SharePoint and web-based content management solutions.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking for business process improvement.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to translate business processes for IT teams and technical applications for business users.
- Exceptional organizational and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Experience in business process evaluation and re-engineering.
- Experience writing clear and concise technical training materials and user documentation.
- Knowledge of application development life cycle and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior SharePoint Business Analyst experience.
- Experience in Quality Assurance (QA) testing.
- Experience with application support and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of Traffic business processes.
- Understanding of the transportation lifecycle and related workflows.
- Experience as a SharePoint Designer or Owner role.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Team Foundation Server (TFS).
- Experience with Balsamiq or similar wireframing tools.
