This is an office-based position.
Responsibilities:
As an Associate Quality Engineer, you will support the quality assurance process in ensuring that products meet regulatory, customer, and internal quality standards. You will work closely with various teams, including production, engineering, and product management, to identify areas for improvement and ensure product reliability and safety
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance: Assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements for products.
- Inspection and Testing: Perform inspections and tests on materials, products, and processes to ensure they meet quality specifications.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of testing, inspections, and product evaluations. Prepare reports on findings, issues, and improvements.
- Root Cause Analysis: Investigate product defects and failures to identify root causes and support problem-solving efforts.
- Process Improvement: Assist in evaluating and improving quality control processes to increase efficiency and product consistency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering and production teams to address quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
- Training: Help in training other team members on quality procedures, standards, and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of life insurance industry practices and the methodologies to effect best practices of quality assurance for this line of business is preferred.
- Experience working with QA teams on complex, fast paced projects including planning and monitoring daily, weekly, and release activities.
- Experience collaborating with both on and offshore teams.
- Strong knowledge of QA processes and concepts including test case preparation and testing methodologies
- Hands-on testing experience across multiple environments and integrated products.
- Clear understanding of the software product development lifecycle, technical requirements, and project management.
- Experience in testing multitenant SaaS and on premises solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at different levels of an organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects at a time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree - Preferably in Computer Sciences desired.
- 0 - 3 years relevant experience in a quality engineer role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex problems.
- Basic knowledge of quality assurance processes and methodologies (such as Six Sigma, Lean, or ISO 9001).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic data analysis tools.
- Life or health insurance experience with certifications or designations preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.
