We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an HR Specialist in the Financial Services industry, based in Chicago, Illinois. The HR Specialist will be primarily responsible for managing talent-related needs for different teams, leveraging their comprehensive knowledge of HR to drive team success, and coaching group leaders on team development strategies.
This is an HR Leadership position with minimum 6+ years of HR Experience required.
Responsibilities:
- Establish a deep understanding of the business needs of the teams, becoming the primary contact for all talent-related concerns.
- Develop and implement strategies related to talent acquisition, talent management, employee engagement, and personnel retention that cater to the specific needs of the teams.
- Leverage extensive knowledge in Human Resources to ensure the team's success and efficient application of HR policies and practices.
- Build positive relationships with personnel across all levels, from team members to senior leaders, to foster a cooperative work environment.
- Coach group leaders and managers on team development strategies, fostering a culture of open and constructive feedback.
- Provide advice to both new and experienced leaders, sharing best practices in time management, adaptive leadership, and trust building.
- Administer talent assessments and use data-driven strategies to optimize talent acquisition outcomes and overall team efficiency.
- Oversee comprehensive recruitment strategies, ensuring the right talent is identified, attracted, and successfully onboarded.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suites to maintain accurate records and streamline HR processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience in Talent Acquisition including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding
- Solid understanding of Human Resources (HR) Administration such as employee relations, benefits administration, and HR policies
- Experience in Talent Development including training and development programs
- Knowledge of Talent Management strategies and their implementation
- Ability to make informed Hiring Decisions based on company needs and candidate qualifications
- Familiarity with Hiring Processes including job postings, applicant tracking, and recruitment metrics
- Understanding of HR Compliance including labor laws and regulations
- Experience in HR Budgeting including salary structures, benefits packages, and cost analysis
- Demonstrated HR Leadership skills including strategic planning, team management, and decision-making
