Position Overview:Gerald Hyundai is seeking a reliable and energetic Lot Porter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance of our dealership lot, ensuring that new and pre-owned vehicles are properly stocked, organized, and ready for sale.

As a Lot Porter, you will play a critical role in keeping the dealership lot organized and ensuring vehicles are parked in an orderly manner, making a positive first impression for our customers. You will also assist with vehicle inventory and logistics, and be an integral part of the dealership team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stocking New and Pre-Owned Inventory: Ensure all new and pre-owned vehicles are correctly and efficiently placed on the lot. This includes checking vehicles for cleanliness, ensuring they are properly parked, and maintaining proper organization.
- Maintaining Lot Organization: Regularly check that all vehicles are lined up correctly and arranged in an attractive manner. Ensure the lot is free of debris and well-kept for a welcoming customer experience.
- Assisting with Vehicle Delivery and Movement: Drive and park new and pre-owned vehicles as necessary. Transport vehicles to various locations on the lot as directed by management or sales teams.
- Vehicle Cleanliness and Presentation: Ensure vehicles are clean and free of dirt, debris, and snow, especially during seasonal changes. This includes basic washing or touch-up care when needed.
- Assist with Inventory Control: Ensure all vehicles are properly tagged and tracked in the dealership’s inventory system. Help manage the movement of cars between the lot and showroom.
- Coordination with Service and Sales Teams: Work closely with sales staff and service department to ensure vehicles are ready for delivery, have been inspected, and are prepared for customer viewings.
- Lot Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring the lot is clear of obstacles, debris, and potential hazards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent education and experience).
- Valid Driver's License (must be insurable) with a clean driving record.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain an organized work environment.
- Ability to drive a variety of vehicles, including manual transmission, with care and responsibility.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Pay range for this position: $ 15.00 - $20.00
- Exact compensation may vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, and education.
