[ref. h09518701] Mainframe Cincom Supra PDM DBA (Remote)

Overview:

• Tier One Technologies is seeking a Cincom Supra PDM DBA to work on a project with our US Government client.
• This will be a 100% remote Contract-to-Hire position.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.

Responsibilities:

• The client’s environment is a mainframe system that contains multiple systems/subsystems using both online and batch processing. The system also interfaces with approximately 53 other systems by batch data transmissions. Team services include analysis, design, development, test support, implementation support, and production maintenance support. Additionally, the team is responsible for the ongoing maintenance for Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) applications that provide essential peripheral functions such as report management, communications, and library management.
• Provide technical support of software development and database administration using SUPRA PDM, MANTIS, COBOL, and JCL.
• Provide technical support and consultation in the review and acceptance of deliverables related to platform modernization. The system is hosted on z/OS (IBM mainframe operating system).
• Support numerous SUPRA PDM databases, maintain COBOL copybooks to coincide with database changes, manage the Total-File-Views, which are internal variable names that allow the online programmers to interact with the database files.
• Perform directory maintenance for SUPRA PDM database files.
• Evaluate the database environment, document their function and create diagrams of their interactions to support platform modernization.

Qualifications:

• The candidates must be familiar with programming languages identified below and development tools as specified below:
• Cincom SUPRA PDM; Cincom MANTIS (Total-file-views); Z/OS; COBOL; JCL; Storage Management; MS Office/365 and MS Windows.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Must not have traveled outside the US for a combined total of 6 months or more in the last 5 years.
• Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years.
