We are in search of a dedicated Tax Staff OR Senior - Public to join our team located in New Haven County, Connecticut. This role is focused on the public accounting tax industry and will involve the use of various tools such as CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax, and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax for tax-related tasks
• Leverage Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis
• Apply knowledge of Tax Preparation and Public Accounting in daily operations
• Contribute to the Public Accounting Tax function of the organization
• Uphold the principles of CPA (Certified Public Accountant) in all tasks
• Use Gosystem and Management System for efficient workflow
• Maintain and update account records accurately
• Work cohesively with the team to achieve organizational goals.

• Demonstrated experience in Tax Staff - Public role, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar position.
• Proficiency in CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax software.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Must hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
• Experience in tax preparation in a public accounting environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of public accounting tax principles and regulations.
• Prior experience in public accounting is essential.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
